If you’re in or near Seattle area this weekend, the Seattle Indies game developer’s group will be holding the second annual SIX (Seattle Indies Expo). Hosted by the DigiPen Institute of Technology, which is regarded by some as the preeminent school for game design in the nation, this year’s SIX will showcase more than a dozen titles across a variety of platforms. Among the games being exhibited, Klei Entertainment (developers of Shank) will be showing off their upcoming XBLA title, Mark of the Ninja, which is a stylized action/stealth sidescroller. Another title that has caught a few eyes with its recently unveiled Kickstarter is Volgarr: The Viking, which in the words of developer Crazy Viking Studios, is like “Super Ghouls ‘N Ghosts [SNES], Rastan [Arcade] and Castlevania [NES] had a demon baby!” In addition to upcoming games, SIX also has its share of released games, including SpaceChem and 8BitMMO, which is totally free-to-play and boasts a world 100% player built.

Admission to SIX is totally free and the event is open to all ages from 10am-5pm this Sunday, September 29th.
